Makeup is worn to enhance your natural beauty by women all over the world of all ages. Eyeliner, Eyeshadow, Blush, Bronzer, Foundation, Nail polish and many more things are all extremely common.

Now, name another common makeup worn that wasn't listed above, You guessed! Lip Makeup. Lip makeup is an easy and popular way to enhance your look no matter the occasion, whether it is a date, party, or just for everyday activities.

Now the most common type of lip makeup is lipstick, but that is definitely not the end of the list of make up for your lips. You have lip shimmers, lip gloss, lip stick, and other lip products as well.

To get a fun and unique color for your lips try the following. Take your favorite color of eye shadow and dip the eye shadow wand into a bit of water then dip into your eye shadow and apply to your lips like normal lip color. For people with dry lips you may want to apply a little bit of Vaseline first.

You can also mix colors together using two eye shadow colors. However I wouldn't recommend using too many different colors or you will end up with a mucky bland color. This is a great way to have your eye shadow and lip color match, especially if you cannot find any lip makeup in the appropriate color.

Lighter colors of lip gloss, lip stick, or even eye shadow used on the lips will make thin lips look bigger.

Another tip for people with thin lips is that glossier shades of lip makeup will also make your thin lips appear fuller.

Now there are things like Lip Plumpers and you can go that route if that is what you want. Just keep in mind that lip plumpers make your lips look fuller temporarily by irritating them, causing your lips to swell slightly.

That's how it works... so on occasion it seems fine, but I don't think I would recommend it as a normal practice, who knows what can happen after repetitive use after a while.

The easiest way to make large lips look smaller is to wear darker lip makeup colors. Just like in clothing, you know, how that black dress can make you look a little slimmer, a dark lip color will do the same thing. However don't think you have to wear black on your lips unless you want to! Any deep color will do just fine.

If you are planning to go for an evening out someplace, a date, party or anything special then a little bit of lip dress goes a long way. However a lot of people wear too much makeup making them look more clownish rather then their desired effect. Here are a couple tips that should help you get your desired look.

A pure killer red is a really good color for showing off that pouty look. A common mistake when using a deep or intense lip makeup color is to not let up on the rest or their makeup.

If you are wearing an intense red then make sure you let up on your eye makeup. Remember less is more. Another fun “night out” look is to try some sparkles. A few sparkles thrown in a lip gloss or lipstick can look great!

Lip liner has slowly lost it's popularity, you wont see many people wearing it unless they are confident in their looks and are trend setters. Does that mean you should shy away from it? No! It simply means you should remember that not EVERYONE is wearing it, personally, I think being an original is a good thing... but to everyone their own choice.
